Stressed

Yes, i'm stressed. I feel stressed from this one subject called - Tamadun Islam dan Asia Tenggara. So, obviously, it speaks about tamadun Islam. No offense,  but the note just doesn't connect, doesn't make sense.. I understand what tamadun Islam is all about, pros and cons and stuff, but things doesn't connect, and you know, bleh >.<. It's leaving me the only alternative to score well for this exam - memorize them all. And seriously, i'm not good with memorizing if things that doesn't make sense to me.

2 more days....

2 more days, 2 morreeee days until freedom! For a month, only, unfortunately, because USM decided to start the second semester on 3 days before Christmas. I have a trip planned to Singapore for Christmas le! >.<

Actually, for now, i'm quite relax. I should be worrying, seeing there are two papers on my last day of exam. I finished reading them anyway, and two more days for me to memorize them, i have sufficient time to do so \o/ 

Past two days, one of my highligther ran out of ink, and then i discovered that i couldn't study at all without my precious highligthers. I couldn't focus, my attention tends to stray elsewhere. Highlighter-san has become such an important element in my studies. Look at this...

I can't live without these!

Yes, i favoured Stabilo's highligther. One is due to their brightness of their colours, and the "head" is just the perfect width i need to highlight my notes. It's kind of expensive though, about RM3.00 each...*sigh*...

Now, i even have an exam checklist written with highlighters! \o/

I'm forgetful okay? I need THIS list, else i'll either left one of this stuff behind when i leave for exams, or i went to the wrong exam hall. It's bright enough to attract my attention everytime i leave for my exam. And i haven't forget anything yet, so it works, eh? :D

Sad.....

I'm really depressed right now. I went to check my coursework marks. Finance's one was good. The problem was with english and business ethics. 

English, for the 50% coursework, i got B, and AMAZINGLY that's the highest grade within my group. That was really unexpected, and break my dream of pulling up my CGPA this semester. Come on, my english is not THAT bad. The lecturer had told us she is very strict in terms of marking, but her other group has one person that gets A-, how in the world the highest mark in my group is B?! That means even i get an A for the final exam, the best grade i could obtain would be possibly a...B+ *sighs*

Business Ethics, i got B. I'm sure i worth at least B+, he gave me B for my project, which i have put so much effort into it.  That's 40%. *curses* So many others gets A-, if he could at least grade my project as B+.....i probably should appeal..but it's that going to do my any good? T_T

Life is so unfair *sigh* All my dreams to obtain straight As this semester has shattered.  (As if i can? :P)..But yea, what past is past, i've done my best. Lets just hope it doesn't drag my overall CGPA this semester too much. >.<

USM Live@edu

Guess what? I just found out about this new service that USM provides to its students and staff. Well, apparently USM has partnered with Microsoft Live (Yes, you're right. It IS he company that invent Window Live@MSN!), to provide USM students and employees with some premium services. Well, it sure does differentiate us from other local universities, and it is something i didn't really expect from USM. 

USM = Local University, recently picked as Apex University, ranked like somewhere around 300++ in world ranking.

Microsoft = Multinational company which is chiefed by the richest man in the world, invented the operating system for computers which is used by 90% of the population in the world. 

So, tell me, like how can i expect two of them to come together, right? XD

Now, what did they provide, you might ask? What i can tell you is, it is very similar to the services that you'll get when you sign in as a WindowLive member. It is just USM-lized.

1) An email account

It has 5GB of storage, and the address will be the same as the one USM gave you. So, your USM email account is transferred to Window Live. They still call it USM Mail though. XD

Eg: Mine will be lfy96134@student.usm.my

2) Online Storage Space

This is what i like. Online storage yo! Can backup my important documents and stuff. Real cool i would say. They call it "SkyDrive", as possesed to "HardDrive". So we're keeping our stuff in the sky, eh? XD

3) Messenger

Yes, you can now use your USM email to login to MSN. Though, i have an existing one, so that's like..no point?..Maybe i'll add my group mates to ease my project discussion with them in the future (If that's applicable, but then, i also THINK all of them have an existing MSN account anyway!).

4) Calender

According to them, we can import/exchange calenders with friends, including USM staff and such. Might be useful, though, i don't really use a calender online. Cause, if my calender ARE online, i wouldn't be able to access them offline.

5) Window Live Writer/Space/Blog

You are given a space, to blog, or you can save more than 1000 Microsoft-Office-kind-of-documents online, editing them. This is good, i tell you. That probably means i doesn't need to transfer my documents here and there anymore. Just need to save it online, and i can access it whereever i want.

And, i think it would be good for lecturers to use this for course purposes, as opposed to yahoo groups. You know what, i HATE yahoo groups. I hate the layout, the style, the way i have to access my message, it's just, BAD. And since USM has made such a great effort to form partnership with Microsoft Live, this might be an alternative for those lecturers who want to conduct part of the course online, as well as sharing lecture notes.

What can i say? Well done to USM. You had made another great effort towards an Apex-ranked university \o/. (Not sure if it is relevant :P). So yea, i might utilize the 5GB online storage..or maybe making an own personal website. Well, it's a great effort by USM, and we're not to waste it, ne?

Hungry?!

I sure woke up early today *nods*....Actually, i should study, but tomorrow exam is English exam, and there are really nothing for me to study anyway! (except the format)...so imma relax a bit before i start studying ^^

Right now, i'm wondering what to eat, i'm really hungry now, but my housemates weren't around, and i really doubt they're going to come back home (from exam) without taking their lunch. So yeap, i'm on my own. Speaking of food, something they cooked past few days which...made me laugh XD...Well, it was delicious, but..it's just so..funny! Hahahaha...hold on, let me show you....

Nintendo DS Lite

Remember the NDSL that i kept talking about? It's my best entertainment gadget so far, and i'm still not bored of it yet, so i can say that it's serving me pretty well. :D As per request by my *cute* gadget, i'm showing it here today! totally random

Yay! \o/ The bottom screen is 'touch screen', means i can poke it whenever i want :D *softly, ofcourse*..The reason i hasn't got bored of it YET because this cute little thingy give a whole new style of gameplay. Now, imagine you're doing make up using that touch screen, and cooking...and....taking care of your cute little puppy...playing drums....\o/

Final Exam Day 6: Boring...

Help, i'm losing my focus. Probably i feel relieved that 3 core subjects exams past without much difficulties (well, in terms of answering them all, i don't want to hand up empty answer sheet :P)....I can't focus to study for my next exam *cough*Psychology*cough*...It's not a hard subject, nor it has MANY things to read, but i kinda lost the mood to read anything right now. I watched a whole series of TVB drama last two days >.>...played my NDS...sleeping....went to tesco...OMFG! >.<

My mom called me yesterday. (from Australia)..She sounded "normal" after knowing that i obtained the scholarship. I can't feel her 'excitement', or am i the ONLY one is excited about it? >.<

Right. I'm going to...study..(maybe?)...i finished reading, i need to start memorizing, which is...not my interest. Why the hell i do have remember facts inrelevant to me T__T Meh, i guess it is relevant. It does affect my CGPA, ne? 

JOEY, focus~! The day to freedom (slight one?) is not far away. 10 days to go. Ganbatte ne!

Day 3: Numbers...

I'm back! (from exam...lol)...The boring'est subject is over! (Yes,  i made up that word :P)..It was, okay. I answered all of them, but correct or not, it's a different matter. But i managed to answer all of them, so that's an ACHIEVEMENT. XD..(At least i won't fail that subject, so yea? :P)

Now i'm in my room, staring at my stacks of Finance's notes, debating between study and sleep. I really need to study because the exam is tomorrow. But i also really need to sleep because i woke up at 6 am this morning. I'm facing conflict of interest (Ethics, HA!)...From utilitaranian perspective, i should sleep. Because that will contribute to overall good consequences :D

Final Exam Day 2: Cracking my brain

Right, i SUDDENLY have the motivation to blog again. Where does the motivation come from?..mmm..i don't know? XD...The stress from examinations, probably. 

My final exams started yesterday, and it went well. It is my Managerial Accouting paper, which i'm quite confident. What to do, the only thing i'm good is are things that evolved around numbers :P I was quite relax, finished the paper in 2 hours, and with an additional hour to double check the figures. Not bad, huh? I almost feel like leaving the hall early, but that's like..not good. So ya, i stayed, check and recheck and the chief invigilator (which happens to be my lecturer) was looking at me all the time when i shake my liquid paper. It is ESSENTIAL, else the flow will be disrupted..(I'm weird, k? ..)

Today, i'm suffering, i need to memorize lots of stuff for tomorrow's exam. It's a BORING subject i tell you. BORING. What to do, i still need to memorize them *sigh*...May the god be with me, tomorow, and i need Doraemon's bread ...the one where you copy your notes on the bread and eat it :P...that will be so useful....save me lots of time *nods*

There's one thing i'm really happy though. I am officially a Maybank 2008 scholar now! Didn't know how did it happen, it just did. I thought there was no hope, since i receive no calls from the interviewer for a very long period of time.  My dad wasn't too excited about it, (i told him through the phone)..or maybe he is excited. But yeap, this is going to be the best thing that happened to me this year. 

I should stop :P I have...lots of things to memorize. Will be back soon \o/
